Founded in 2018, Finca Ethiopia is a 34.5-hectare coffee farm located in the Apaneca region of El Salvador, managed by Los Naranjos Coffee. Originally known as Finca La Gloria, it was renamed in honor of Ethiopia, the birthplace of coffee.
Nestled behind the Ilamatepec Volcano, the farm benefits from fertile volcanic soils and a rich natural ecosystem. Only 13 hectares are dedicated to coffee cultivation, while the remaining land is preserved as native forest, protecting local biodiversity. Coffee is grown entirely under the shade of indigenous trees, reflecting the farm's commitment to sustainable agriculture.
Quality begins with careful soil management and selective harvesting, using Brix measurements to identify cherries at optimal ripeness. The farm combines traditional expertise with precise processing techniques, including Honey, Natural and experimental fermentations, to enhance the distinctive characteristics of each coffee.
Through meticulous drying, multiple quality controls and a deep respect for the environment, Finca Ethiopia produces exceptional specialty coffees that express the unique terroir of El Salvador. .
